THE BRIDGE- SEXUAL RISK AVOIDANCE PROGRAM

The goal of the Bridge program is to empower youth and families to make informed decisions about their sexual health. The Brazos Pregnancy Center utilizes the Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) curriculum that is pre-approved by each school or school district. Presenters speak to public and private school students in grades 6th-12th about the importance of healthy relationships and abstinence. We emphasize how making good decisions now about sex can avoid consequences like STI/STD transmission or unplanned pregnancies.

All materials are pre-approved as age appropriate for each grade. The topics focus on the importance of forming healthy relationships whether it be with friends or a romantic interest.
Some of the topics include:
-Healthy Relationships -How Sex Right Now Affects Whole-Person Health
-Bullying Behaviors -The Dangers of Pornography
-Dating and Setting Boundaries -Dating Violence and Red Flags in Relationships
-Effects of Media on Teens -STI/STD education
